Meeting at 8:30 AM in Calabasas for a morning tour to view sedimentary rocks formed when Southern California was an eroding volcanic chain.
Break for lunch and discussion of the geologic history of California; then during the afternoon, we’ll caravan west to Kanan Dume Road and south to the coast, stopping at exposures that record the early development of the San Andreas Fault.
