      For Open Day this month at the Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden, Rick Wilson will present a slideshow and talk about the history and unique music created by flutes from different cultures and periods.

      Rick, , a Professor of Mathematics at Caltech and a collector and player of historical and world flutes, will demonstrate by performing on a number of flutes from his collection.

      The talk will begin at 1:00 p.m. and is free with the price of admission.

      Open Day is from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

      Admission is $7.50 in advance on the website or $10 cash or check at the gate (12 and under are free.) The garden is wheelchair accessible. Sorry, no pets allowed.
