Currently the Huntington Library is responsible for killing many coyotes with
traps and snares.
This is abusive and totally uncalled for. This practice has
been shown to be ineffective and environmentally destructive predator management.
After several denied attempts to get the Huntington Library to reform this practice, OPOC has decided to stage a protest in front of the Huntington Library to
inform visitors about what they are paying for when they buy a ticket to get into the Library.
They are going to meet at the main entrance of the Library at 10:00 am! We will be passing out flyers and informing visitors of the trapping. PLEASE MAKE A COOL SIGN! Have it say something like:
“Save the Coyotes”
“Save the Earth, Save Ourselves”
“There is no excuse for animal abuse”
“Being cruel isn’t cool ”
“Humans aren’t the only species on Earth, We just act like it!”
“Going extinct isn’t as hard as you think..”
“DONT ABUSE MY WILDLIFE”
