Join in welcoming artist, Atanas Karpeles!

I was born in Varna, Bulgaria a small city on the Black Sea. My childhood was exposed to the elevating spirit of fairy tales, my mothers colorful tapestries and Bulgarian folk music with the Mystical sound of bagpipes, Kaval and Zourla.
I earned a masters degree in fine art from academy of fine arts in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1979. In 1984 I immigrated to the US.
My art is about light, energy, color vibration, pulsation, which is inherent in our nature.
The colorful body of my art work is influenced by ancient wisdom , where harmony and beauty are tuning in the radiant power of awareness and a higher state of consciousness
For me, this ever-creative spirit inherent in the color-key element, throughout it works into the painting, then the painting becomes “battery” charged with color, energy and spiritual vibration for mans quest to live in peace and harmony with the nature.
I have exhibited in many countries including Bulgaria , Sweden, Korea and the USA, numerous paintings are included in prestigious museums, corporate and private collections around the world.

Atanas’ art work is “Beholder of spiritual energy transcending the material world into the spiritual”
