How in the He** Did a Lawyer End Up as CEO of a Public Software Company? Victor Limongelli shares his story!
Risk-taking is central to innovation. Corporate bureaucracy stifles risk-taking – indeed, one might say it is designed to stifle risk-taking. But every day employees inside companies see business opportunities that cry out for a new solution or an innovative approach. If you are an employee inside a company, how can you pursue those opportunities? And if you are running a company, how can you get out of the way and enable your employees to go after those opportunities?
Victor Limongelli will highlight his experiences in just these situations. First, while an employee in a small, privately-held maker of computer forensic software, he’ll describe how he identified a large market opportunity in e-discovery software, and steered the company into a leadership role in that market (and steered clear of bureaucracy). Then, after taking the company public and leading it as CEO, how the company was able to pioneer a new market in next-generation endpoint security. Whether you are an employee with an idea, or a company leader who wants to foster such ideas, you will want to hear Victor’s experiences and how you can apply them.
