Happened!
– Improvements at One Colorado.

A new “serenity” fountain has been constructed recently at One Colorado, and clear lights that have been installed for the holiday season will be on permanent display, adding to the nice ambiance at night.
Kudos to One Colorado for constantly improving the location. One can only wonder, how long will their security personnel endure the “Canadian Ranger” inspired hats, now that the holiday season is behind us!
Happening!
– New crosswalk art in the Playhouse District.

The Playhouse District Association unveiled three crosswalk designs locations River Movement by local artist Hataya Tubtim*.
The design uses the movement of fish over three crosswalk sites to echo the movement of people moving through the urban environment.
The new crosswalk design locations are:
- Walnut and Oakland
- Union and Mentor
- Madison and Green
An added improvement that’s always appreciated and welcomed.
*Hataya Tubtim is a faculty member at Art Center College of Design.
– New addition to the South Lake Ave. District.
Tpumps, a west coast based tea store that specializes in custom bubble tea drinks, opened its first store in Southern California at the South Lake Business District.
With its bubble tea, a freshly prepared Taiwanese iced tea drink with tapioca pearls, and a secret menu, it is quickly attracting long line in the district.
Weekends are becoming more fun, with new additions breathing life into the South Lake District.

Bike Sharing is coming to Pasadena.
Metro will be introducing a countywide bike-sharing system in the near and far future. The first phase will take place in and around Downtown L.A.
The second phase will take place in Pasadena, with close to 35 bike stations sprinkled along the Metro Gold Line route in the greater Pasadena area. Metro plans to have the bike sharing program in Pasadena by the Summer of 2017.

Express Bus Line from Pasadena to Burbank Airport and Orange Line.
An express bus line connecting Pasadena to Bob Hope’s Airport and the Orange Line in the valley is being proposed to Metro, which expressed some reservations and concerns of its cost. Metro’s opinion might be swayed, with enough support from the public and elected officials. Read full article here.
