You’ve probably heard the song “Rude” on the radio non-stop, caught yourself singing it in the shower and throughout your day.

The band behind one of the Top 10 hits on iTunes, Magic!, came to the OC Observatory in Santa Ana last night to perform the song live.
Magic!, a reggae fusion band from Canada, debuted with its hit single, “Rude,” from its 2013 album, Don’t Kill the Magic. The band formed in Toronto, Canada, and after releasing “Rude,” the song bumped up to Number 6 on the Canadian Hot 100 and became a big hit in other countries as well. Other hits like . . . followed. Soon enough, Magic! signed with Sony Music Entertainment and RCA Records in the US.
Thursday night, it was a full house in the OC Observatory, with several hundred Magic! fans ready to sing along with the band’s lead singer, Nasri. The band delivered a short but sweet concert, performing some of its top hits from Don’t Kill the Magic along with covers from some of the band’s favorite artists, such as Stevie Wonder.
Magic! may have released only one album, but with all its potential, there’s no doubt that this up-and-coming band won’t stop there.
