Schedule of events for kids:
9:00 AM and throughout the morning: Animals moving north – throughout the morning, children can participate in sidewalk chalk art and crafting activities while learning about the animals that will have to move north as the climate warms.
9:30 AM: An interactive puppet show featuring a story about deforestation. Children will get puppets and play the parts of different animals.
10:00 AM: Face painting – wear your favorite animal on your cheek!
10:30 AM: Know where it goes – learn about recycling.
11:00 AM: An interactive puppet show featuring a story about deforestation. Children will get puppets and play the parts of different animals.
For Teenagers: bring your laptops or tablets! Learn about some of the online tools for visualizing climate change.

Throughout the morning: Meet the free food garden – come see and learn about the fruit trees and native plants that have transformed an abandoned corner next to the Arroyo Food Coop into a valuable community space.
9:30 AM: Climate trivia – test your knowledge of climate change and win a basket of Co-op goodies!
10:00 AM: Joy of low energy living – hear about one families quest to shrink their carbon footprint.
10:30 AM: Climate change, agriculture, and GMOs – participate in a round table discussion on how our food choices impact the climate.
11:00 AM: Climate trivia – test your knowledge of climate change and win a basket of Co-op goodies!
Additional activities: Informational tables from sponsoring organizations (Citizen’s Climate Lobby, Arroyo Food Co-op, Transition Pasadena, and Occupy Democracy Pasadena), grocery shopping at the Arroyo Food Coop, and a really, really free market.
Also featuring: Live music from the Licata Brothers.
